The project consists of 3 communities in the municipality of Tepehuanesin Durango, Mexico.
Suman en total 16,000 hectáreas de bosques de pino y encino de la Sierra Madre Occidental, que es una región prioritaria para la conservación, según la Comisión Nacional para el Conocimiento y Uso de la Biodiversidad (CONABIO).
The pine-oak forests of the Sierra Madre Occidental are among the highest priority regions in Mexico due to their biodiversity and conservation status.
